An e-commerce battle is raging in Korea
In the end of June, Shinsegae bought 80% of eBay Korea for US$3 billion. E-Mart supermarkets (Shinsegae Group) are thus poised to make a historic breakthrough in non-food e-commerce. According to Counterpoint, Korea’s top e-tailers are Naver (16.5% of the e-commerce market), Coupang (13%) and eBay (12.4%).
